Come by the Inverness County Centre for the Arts on July 24, 25, and 26 during Inverness Gathering Week for a special workshop with local craftsman Jason MacKinnon.

He’ll be building a wanigan — a handmade wooden chest once used on canoe trips to store food, tools, and supplies. It’s a beautiful mix of history, craft, and storytelling.

Drop in, lend a hand if you’d like, and be part of something built by heart and hands.

All ages are welcome, there is no admission fee, though donations to the Centre are encouraged.
